Our Board

HAWABHAY Kamal, B. Com., Dip. Acc., CA (SA), TEP, is the Managing Director of GWMS. He is a Chartered Accountant and a registered Trust & Estate Practitioner (TEP), full member of STEP UK ex-auditor with KPMG (Durban) and has held senior management position with leading offshore management companies in Mauritius. His experience in the Global Business sector extends to international tax planning, supervision of the setting up and on-going administration of Category 1 & 2 Global Business investment holding and other companies, trusts, global collective investment schemes, protected cell companies.

Kamal was a Board member (& Secretary) for three years of the first Board of the Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants, the statutory regulator of all professional accountants in Mauritius and is the current President of the Association of Management and Trust Companies in Mauritius, the representative body of the global business industry and a recently elected director of the board of STEP (Mauritius) Limited.

ADAM Bashier, B. Com., Dip. Acc., CA (SA) is a Director of GWMS and is based in South Africa. He is also the CEO of SAB&T Incorporated, Chartered Accountants (SA) ("SAB&T"), one of the largest Black audit & business advisory firms of South Africa, with about 200 employees in eight offices in the major cities and in Perth, Australia and the UK.

HARILAL Reetha, South African citizen and resident in Mauritius. She is the Human Resource and Office Administration Director of GWMS. Reetha rose from the position of Audit Secretary and Personal Assistant to the Managing Director of the Durban office of PriceWaterhouseCoopers ("PWC Durban") with direct responsibility for the day to day administration of the office to later move on to a position in the administration support team of Advanced Wealth Management Company, the financial services division of PWC Durban. She has several diplomas in secretarial and computer operations.

GWMS Staff

We employ staff of calibre comprising qualified Chartered Certified Accountants, ACCA students, MBA graduate and Accounting Technicians with experience in diverse sectors encompassing Accounting, Audit, Management, Global Business, International and Local Taxation amongst others. Our corporate administration and secretarial arm is staffed with graduates, near qualified ICSA graduates and mature staff with experience. We also have a separate Compliance function staffed with a law graduate with experience.

GWMS is also proud to be the Preferred Partner in Mauritius, of Corporate Catalyst (India) Pvt Ltd (CCI), a Business Advisory, Corporate Finance and Tax Advisory firm based in Delhi with offices in Mumbai and associate offices in major centres in India. The Chairman of CCI has served as the Chief Consultant to the Ministry of Finance, Government of India and another director of CCI has been the Ambassador of India to Japan, Thailand and Libya. The board of CCI is also comprised of professionals of calibre and vast experience.

GWMS has also formally concluded a Preferred Partner agreement with Corporate Management Services (CMS) of Hong Kong to provide our clients with more quality international business solutions. CMS provides incorporation and management services including China market entry solutions, China company credit reports and accounting/audit services, among others, in over 20 jurisdictions. CMS specializes in China, Hong Kong, British Virgin Islands (BVI) and other tax-free countries. With their local presence and international vision, they are able to bridge the cultural and business gaps that often hinder business success in Asia.
